Self storage is a relatively new service in the UK. Personal Storage facilities have a selection of room sizes that you can hire. All you have to do is bring your items to one of our storage facilities, put them in a storage unit, lock the door and you’re done! You can come and go as often as you like during the store opening hours. You are the sole keyholder so you can be assured your storage unit is 100% private.
You can store pretty much anything with Personal Storage from furniture to skiing equipment, golf balls to your stamp collection! All that we ask is that your goods aren’t perishable, hazardous, flammable or illegal. Anything else will do!
The cost of self storage depends entirely on what you wish to store with Personal Storage. Each Personal Storage facility has over 30 different self storage units ranging anywhere from 9 sq ft to 500 sq ft in size. Storage units start at just £10 per week. The best way to find out how much space you need is to use our instant online quote system or give us a call. That way we can provide you with our professional judgement and give you a price based on it.
At Personal Storage we regularly run special offers for new and existing customers. These vary from store to store so it’s worth checking with Personal Storage from time to time.
Personal Storage self storage prices include your rental charge, rates, service charges, utility bills, security and facility maintenance. You will need to provide a padlock to secure your self storage unit. These can be purchased from our packaging shop or you can bring your own. Finally, all belongings must be insured whilst in storage. If you cannot provide your own we can do so for you.
If you need a storage unit immediately, simply pop down to a Personal Storage facility and we’ll find one for you. However, if you don’t need one just yet we recommend that you reserve one in advance. This way you can be sure to have one ready for you when you need it. The reservation deposit is £20 which will be refunded the moment you move into your Personal Storage self storage unit.
At Personal Storage we invoice on a 4 weekly basis. However, we only ask for 14 days notice when you vacate your self storage unit. Any unused self storage charges will be refunded to you when you move out.
We offer a wide range of payment options. We recommend that customers sign up to Direct Debit as this is the easiest way to pay for your storage rental. Alternative payment options include debit card, credit card, cheque and Paypal.
Access to your belongings is 100% free during our opening hours. At our 24hr facilities you can come and go at any time of day or night, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. At non 24hr facilities you can access your belongings at any time during our extensive opening hours.
At Personal Storage we take security very seriously. We want you to feel that you can trust us with your belongings for as long as you need to. As such all our facilities feature top of the range security systems including 24hr CCTV coverage, multi-zone alarm and fire systems all of which are monitored by Redcare. Our 24hr access facilities also feature individually alarmed self storage units.
You can bring your belongings to the facility however you choose, there’s always a space available for you. If, however, you don’t have a vehicle suitable to transport your items we can recommend local van hire and removal companies to help you. These partners of ours often provide discounted rates for customers. To find out more, ask at your local Personal Storage facility.
The minimum rental period for Personal Storage units is just 2 weeks. This is ideal for customers who might be going on holiday or having some emergency home repairs done. You can store for as long as you want over 2 weeks, we even provide long term storage discounts for our customers.
At Personal Storage all we require is that you sign a simple contract prior to moving into your self storage unit. We don’t like to tie customers into complicated contracts as we want to make your storage experience as pain free as possible!
All our Personal Storage facilities have a member of staff on site during our reception opening hours. Our staff are fully trained in all things storage and know the facility like the back of their hand.
You can increase or decrease your self storage unit whenever you require at Personal Storage. With daily managed accounts you can also be sure that you’re only paying for the storage space that you’re actually using.
At Personal Storage we provide packaging materials from boxes to bubblewrap, packing tape to marker pens. You can buy packing materials direct from each of our facilities and take them home with you or you can purchase items online and have them delivered direct to your door!
